Well.... I finally have made a decision on my villa..Ft Miles at Maria Bluff,It doesn't have a/c but they assured me that they have NEVER had a problem with it being too hot...We are very excited about our first trip to St John and are looking forward to seeing the beautiful sights...Do you know if any jeep rentals will actually allow you to completely allow the top off ? I think we will also go to explore some of the nearby Islands...what would be your top 3 restaurants ?
Danny, you've just completed the hardest part of the planning for a vaction on St. John - selecting your villa. As far as the Jeep goes I don't know of any rental agency that allows you to remove the soft top. I'm not sure that you'd really want to do that anyway because you never know when a quick shower may occur and then you're going to have to ride in a wet car with soggy seat which leaves you with a wet rear-end. Not good.
It's fun to take day trips to other islands for sure. I'd suggest renting a captain and a power boat from Nauti Nymph and you can set you own agenda.
We're not food snobs so I'm not going to recommend any gourmet type dining but I will tell some of my family's 'most-eat-at' list:
1 - Uncle Joe's BarBQ
2 - Cafe Roma (really great take out pizza and wonderful dine in meals)
3 - Island Blues
4 - Skinny Legs
5 - Miss Lucy's for Sunday brunch
6 - Morgan's Mang
7 - Lime Inn
I know you'll have a great first trip. When are you going? Don't try to do it all. Leave some for your second trip.
