I am looking at renting a villa looking onto Great Cruz Bay...questions are.......
1. Are the roads from that area easy to maneuver to get to the North Shore beaches, etc.. and
2. Is there any major construction in that area?
Thanks for any info........
ps...Looking at Villa Bijou if anyone has any info..

Wow we are renting Villa Maria what appears by pictures to be very close to Villa Bijou

I will be very interested in regards to construction comments you receive, but to my knowledge there are no Major Projects ongoing near there that area. Next Bay over there is Pond Bay Club construction at Chocolate Hole. Of course you never know some one could be building or remodeling a villa close by.

When are you planning to go?

Me I got 90 days

Absolutely - be more than happy to give you a scouting report

As for getting around. The roads are pretty good shape
No better way to check out the conditions than taking a short drive on Great Cruz Bay Road

You will be about 5-7 minutes from Cruz Bay and of course the North Beaches are on the other side of Cruz Bay.
If you are going to Waterlemon Cay it is probably quicker to go the other way across the middle of the island

Hope this helps

We are actually going to be staying at Villa Maria in February.:D i just hope it looks like the pictures on the websites that we have seen. I haven't been able to find any reviews on it. We thought about Villa Bijou but was afraid the six couples going would be on top of each other. We have been planning this trip for about a year now and can't wait to get there. I will try to remember to post a review when we get back to let you know how the villa and the roads are.(and if there is construction nearby.)

It would seem that six couples ,12 people, would have some issue or 'be on top of each other' renting a five bedroom house that states in the website 10 persons max -- Is it called Maria Breeze?? Do they have a cottage that can be rented additionally?

I am confused too. Villa Maria is a 3 bedroom, so I can not imagine how you would fit six couples and Maria Breeze only has 5 beds.

I'm sorry, it's only 6 people (3 couples) staying at Villa Maria. I was a little distracted with the grandkids running around.

No worries - when on vacation you are on vacation - Enjoy

But you have 72 Hours once you return 😀

So I do not know if you have been watching the guess again thread where we have been trying to stump the locals with pictures.

Well I was going through pictures from the last vacation. One of the couples who are returning with us snapped this picture as we were leaving Great Cruz Bay enroute to the BVI on Nauti Nymph.

Yep that is Villa Maria. How weird is it that he would snap this shot.

I think the views will be pretty impressive

That is sooo cool!!! I didn't realize it was that close to the water. We will absolutely have an awsome time. It has been years since we've been to STJ and then it was just a day trip from STT. One couple has never been. Of all the places I've ever been, the USVI is my favorite. I would love to live there. I keep telling the people at work that I'm not coming back.

I don't know if I can handle the pressure of having to post pictures 72 hours after we return, so maybe I just won't let anyone know when we will be back.:P

Hey Sandra and Tom....
Someone on another forum had posted about Cruz Bay and how noisy it was because of the ferry's, activity, etc..I don't
think it will be a problem at these villas since it is Great Cruz Bay...but let me know how the location is as far as noise, etc too.
Looks like many boats anchor in Great Cruz Bay as well, but I don't think that would bother me...
