To EVERYONE on this board who help us newbies/first timers with all of our silly (and not so silly) questions. Since joining this board in Dec 05, I have become INCREASINGLY excited about our upcoming trip to STT.
We were here for a few hours in 2003 (two of those dreaded cruise guests) but only had a short time to shop in CA, I believe (we took the Atlantis Submarine ride-which btw, was awesome). We fell in love with STT and Antigua (which I now know is a Caribbean island)and have been wanting to return since then for a whole week!
I am taking major notes from the wealth of information on this board and will type it all out and take it with us on the trip in March.

Thank you again, (not mentioning names lest I leave someone out...you know who you are!) from the bottom of my heart. I can not wait till March 4th!

We're excited for you Lady Blue! Spending time on the island is sooo much better than a cruise stopover.

They break out the "secret sauce" after the ships leave 🙂

LOL, ok can you give me a hint as to what exactly secret sauce is?
I am sure after this trip hubby and I will become regular visitors to the VI's. And hopefully some day I can add my expertise to the board.

Is it against board rules to post my chat handles in case there are others who want to talk about get togethers when visiting at the same time? I won't till I hear from the *Boss* 🙂

Please don't take the 'dreaded' cruise guest the wrong way. God knows the USVI relies on them just as much if not more than those staying in villas, condos, etc. STX took a big hit when they left.

Sure, we would all love to avoid the crowds and hope the majority of them arrive with manners and respect for the areas they visit, but visit they must to offer the local residents an opportunity to make a living.

Glad we could help you to plan your return. Have a great time.

Oh no, I am not but I do understand the sentiment. Remember, I was travelling with these people so I saw first hand how rude and impatient some of them can be! LOL. Not all of them by any means (waves hand) and I understand the islands need the population of the cruise ships, etc.
Counting the days (40) till our week in Paradise.
