I was just wondering if anyone has taken the 6:30am ferry from Red Hook to Cruz Bay? Does it run on time? Is it safe? We're traveling from STT to the Westin to catch a day sail at 7:45am and that seems to be our only chance to get over.
Thanks,
Maureen

I took it last year and for the most part it was on time. I don't remember it being very crowded either. The problems seem to happen when you get alot of people on the ferry, then it gets backed up. I think it's common for them to run a little behind but not too much. hopefully this helps. As far as being safe I've never had any problems.

Just check that the daysail you are taking isn't sailing back to St John (unless that's what you want to do 🙂 ) as most of the tours/sails/catermaran trips from STT just sail to St John and around.
