I have only 63 days till I leave for Paradise! Just had to put it into words. Looks much better than looking at a calendar. YEAH. LOL.
63? wow- that's just 2 months. That's not even a quarter year...... That's like - in this season (basically - since we're just about at Spring - less than 10 days).
In other words - that's SOON!! Have you satrted to pack?
Yup! All done. All I have to do is pack the cooler on the day I leave. I don't need my shorts here till at least June so into the bag they go. I can smell the air and feel the warm water now. Ya know, I'm sure it's not just me but, when I close my eyes I can almost feel the warm water no my feet. It's the best thing about getting there. I go to my condo, put my bags inside and go straight to the beach. I just don't feel like I'm there until I slip my feet into that deliciously warm water. Not like here at home, 68 degrees or so in Aug. It's like instant relaxation,. Better even than that 1st painkiller. I just love the water. Ahhhhhh.
HaHa got you beat! We leave in 50 Days! I'll let you know the water temp! Kim
I wish I could go NOW! Where are you staying?
Leticia....you're packed???? That's so funny. 59 days till we go!!!
Going over friends tonight. The girls are getting together to make some plans. This should be interesting.
We did decide on one thing. Since we are renting a villa and the greeter will take us directly to the villa and we'll be PARCHED!!!! we've decided to get the grocery goddesses to stock the fridge with beer :o) That way we can hang out for a little bit before we go to Red Hook for Duffy's and the Market.
Does anybody know what time the market is open on Saturday nights??????
I know-I hardly can keep my mind on anything else, responding on this board makes it feel that much closer! We'll be at Coconuts villa on STJ-have fallen in love with this island! You?
49 days!
We are going to be at Sapphire. I love St. John but a little out of my price range right now. Besides, I am very comfortable at Sapphire. I know how to get around and I like the beach there. It's not Cinnamon but, I like it best on St. Thomas. I like Coki too but very crowded. Yup, already packed. Like I said before too cold here for shorts and suits (bathing) and I don't really bring much else except for snorkel gear. I am a light packer now. I learned the hard way. Every time I would go I had my entire closet with me. I found I only wore the bathing suits, 1 pair of shorts, 2-3 tops, 1skirt and two pair of shoes. Oh and a sarong. If you roll it all up military style it will fit in a small duffel along with my snorkel gear. I don't really wear makeup so not much else except travel size stuff. I pack the food in a cooler though. Hey Connie, what is the grocery goddess?
The Grocery Goddesses are two gals that will stock anything you want in your villa/condo for a $25.00 charge + 18%. With 9 people, who will be probably DYING for a beer when they get to the condo, we find that reasonable. There's 2 families, so splitting that is well worth it I think.
Connie, which villa are you staying at? How do you get a hold of the grocery goddesses? I didn't know they had anything like that!
We'll be staying at Wyndcliffe Villa in Mahogany Run. Their website is grocerygoddesses.com.
I think it's a great idea really.
By the way....they will send you a great list of some common items most people would want and if you have any special requests, they'll do their best to accomodate.
