I just wanted let everyone know how thankful my fiance and I are from everyone that has helped us make our wedding decisions in STT. We are FINALLY leaving next Tuesday to come down to paradise from Redondo Beach, CA. and we CAN'T wait!!!!!

I do have a few last minute questions that we will need some input for once we arrive.

We will be putting little bottles of Rum and bottled waters in each of our guests welcome bag, any suggestions on where to buy them? I heard that KMart is the cheapest place for rum? We aren't looking for anything fancy, just a filler for our other gifts. Also, what about cases of water? I know you can't give me a exact amount on to where the cheapest place is, but I just don't want to be running around all week trying to figure out where to go. I assume all grocery stores will stock bottled water?!

My final question is that the guys are going to be having a horseshoe tournament while the bride and all the other ladies get ready the day of the wedding. Any suggestions on where to find a set to buy/rent? Would Kmart have that or are their sporting good stores on the island? I don't have a problem going to St. John if necessary.

Thanks again for everyone's help! I will be sure to post a trip report upon our return (and some pictures too if I can figure it out).

There is a horseshoe pit at Hull Bay...

I have seen teeny bottles of Cruzan at Gourmet Gallery in Havensight- regular and flavored. If you want fifths, try Cost-U-Less. Cases of water also at Cost-U-Less.

When do you want us to show up for the wedding? 😉

I have seen the little bottles of Rum in the liquor stores downtown or try Al Cohen's Mall in Havensight! They are pricey, I was surprised about that. I agree with East Ender, the guys should go down to Hull Bay and play, this way there won't be any issues with destroying a yard either.
Congrats! You have worked hard. All my best to the couple! (tu)
Will look forward to your trip report!

You can get decent rum prices at Dynasty Dazzlers right on Main Street across from the post office. They have different size bottles, including packages of the flavored ones. Otherwise if you're not looking for the tiny sized bottles, Kmart or Plaza Extra is probably cheapest for both water and rum (yes they have both just about everywhere!). If you want another treat idea, you can buy bags of fried plantains in a lot of shops here. They're just like potato chips, but of course, they're plantains (find 'em in the chip aisle). Really yummy, a local thing, and a good gift-bag filler.

Good luck and congratulations!!

The liquor selection at KMart is very limited and the best places for selection and prices are Cost U Less and Plaza Xtra. Plaza Xtra often carries the mini bottles at the courtesy desk.
