We will be on STT for 4th of July. Do they have fireworks there or are they legal?
How do they celebrate 4th there?
Thanks again!!
Love this board!! So informative!

Thaere is a husge celebration in St. John, complete with parade and fireworks. It's more of a carnival!
Ronnie
Hello Carlene,
As Ronnie mentioned if you are on St. Thomas you head to St. John for 4th of July - they usually have their Carnival Parade that day but this year its being held on the 5th rather then the 4th, there is a parade during the day and at night (9pm) fireworks over Cruz Bay. On the 4th there is suppose to be a big beach party: Beach Jam (10am - 6pm)
Location: Oppenheimer Beach St. John. No fireworks on St. Thomas for the 4th.

So would you take a car over on the ferry or can you take the regular ferry and walk around?
It sounds like alot of fun and can not wait to get there!! This will certainly be an exciting 4th (really 5th)!
Thanks again for all of the great info!!!!!
Carlene
Hello Carlene,
If you are going over on the 5th for the parade then you take the passenger ferry and you walk around - the parade route is through Cruz Bay so the roads are closed in that immediate area. The fireworks are watched from Cruz Bay as well. The passenger ferry from Red Hook usually runs every 30 minutes for the parade (they usually run every hour on the hour). Its a fun time.
