You think you guys are miserable - just imagine being home already (& back to work)! That is truly miserable!

Just got back Sunday at midnite.

Now, we are back to the year countdown, again!

So, be greatful that you are counting the days til you go - and not counting the days since you have been home! LOL

(Just having fun with ya!)

Believe it or not - your days will go by quickly & enjoy the anticipation - it is soooo worth it!

23 days until we leave and 24 until we arrive on St John; a long trip from Seattle. Going a month later than usual so we have had to wait 13 months this time. I know just how you feel -- my husband and I can't seem to think of anything else. We're like drug addicts and St John is the drug. Until we arrive, nothing else will quite satisfy us.

I relate to all of you. I was going insane and could think about nothing my upcoming trip. Well, now that I am home I have the vacation blues. I wish I could just up and leave and go live there for awhile.

I don’t know what to do. I can start planning a return trip for next year but that would actually be torture with a year wait again.

Dawn,

We are too much alike.

This is my 3rd day back at work & I have been on this board everyday. Again, wondering if I am crazy to already be planning our next trip next April.

Always wondering if there is someplace else we should be exploring. Have only gone to St. Thomas (with a day trip to St. John in 2005) - now just back from 7 nites in St. John & 2 nites in St. Thomas and am so ready to book again for a St. John/St. Thomas split next year.

Loved the beaches!! Loved the snorkeling!! Loved the beautiful blue, warm waters! Loved meeting tons of friendly people!! (Okay - the restaurants weren't bad either!)

Went to Aruba once - have no desire to go back. Not interested in Bermuda - are we crazy to be hung up on the USVI??

Always wonder if we should try Tortola or maybe Virgin Gorda for another experience. - But, we love Cinnamon, Honeymoon & now Francis.

Listen to me carry on - what a moron!

Dawn and Sue, I'm right there with you! We've been back a week and a half now, and I still can't seem to get my mind back in the groove here at work. In fact, I have my headphones on and am listening to Bob Marley and also a local STT steel pan CD we bought.

The day after we got back, I was on the net looking up info so we can think about going back again next year. My husband thought that was funny. 🙂

We only got to spend one day on STJ, so I think next year I'd like to spend more time there since we didn't really have time to see everything we wanted.

Now..back to counting the days since I've been home. LOL

We've been home 73 days since our departure from St. John and have 283 until our return.......how do you think we feel?! We talk of St. John everyday and most days 3 or 4 times. We are booked and waiting for February '07......I envy those on their way anytime soon!

The only way I can tolerate being back in Vermont is sip some cruzin' rum on my deck, play some island music, view pictures often (I have my fridge covered with memories of our St. John trip), and dream all night and all day of the day we return.....it helps a bit that Vermont is finally hitting the warmer months but it still isn't St. John.....!

I weaned myself off this board, kind of, once we got back from STJ in November as it was too depressing to read without plans to return within the year. I think a support group for returnees is in order. I smell sunscreen and come close to tears! Red Stripe beer on the store shelves will do it too. Thank goodness for my J hook ring, which is on right now! This island has greatly influenced our search for retirment locations- we can't afford STJ or STT so we have to look stateside. Its still 10 plus years away but I know we HAVE to find a place like STJ in spirit anyway. Tybee Island near Savannah anyone?

19 weeks...as I get closer, I will be more crazy than I already am. The majority of my time is now spent on Virgin Island websites. This is the best!

38 days for me....except we are going to the Bahamas this year instead of USVI. We have a timeshare with Starwood (Westin, Sheraton, etc.). St John was not available during our vacation timeframe. Oh well! Maybe next year.

I haven't even GONE yet and am already planning a return trip!! I definitely think we need to form a support group; perhaps Virgin Island Vacationers Anonymous?

That is exactly how I felt last April before our "first" trip.

I was already planning trip #2 before we have left the mainland for trip #1.

And "Yes" - we just completed trip #2 and "Yes" I am already checking out accomodations for next year.

The islands are infectious - once you set your eyes (& feet) on (& in) that gorgeous blue water, you truly feel that you are in paradise.

"Addicted" is definitely the right term. We sure are members of an interesting club! But, sure is nice to know that we are not alone with in obsession.
