I just did a timeshare exchange to Bluebeards Beach Club for the first week in Dec...I'm SO excited that we'll be going back to the USVI's (it won't be quite the same as our villa rental on St John two summers ago but I don't care as long as we're in the Virgin Islands!!).

Anyway, our airfare two summers ago was $490 pp with a layover in MIA and I just checked AA this morning and I can get a non-stop flight from Boston for $270. That seems really cheap compared to what we paid last time...is this typical for early Dec? I have it on hold right now and I'm thinking I should definitely book it.

Book it NOW. I'm not from the northeast, but if I could go for $270 per person, I think I'd go multiple times per year! Oil just went over $100 per barrel - airfares will only go up.

Congratulations! Have a great time!

I'm on cloud nine today just at the thought of going back because I was expecting it to be the summer of 09 at the earliest before our next visit. I know, we won't be staying on St John, but we'll do a day trip over there and we may check out one day early at Bluebeards and spend our last night at Gallows since we have a late afternoon flight home. Originally the plan was to do a timeshare exchange to Aruba in Dec (we continually put off Aruba for some reason) but I've been hesitating because the exact check-in date I wanted hasn't been coming up and I just haven't been able to get too excited about Aruba (I think I'm missing St John too much;)) so when I checked availability this morning and saw there was availability on St Thomas (which is rare) I was so excited to see our exact dates available at Bluebeards. Well, I didn't have to think twice...Aruba can continue to wait!!:D

We visited the VI's for the first time a year and a half ago and we fell in love with the islands, St John especially, so I'm thrilled to be going back again (and thanks to the timeshare exchange and a great deal on airfare this trip will be much cheaper than the first time!!:-)).

Our third visit, whenever that may be, will be another villa rental on St John but for now we can get our VI "fix" through the timeshare exchange.

You'll have a great time. Congrats on the great airfaire. Coming out of Philly we're paying 435.00 PP, so you got a great deal.

Enjoy STT too. There's so much to see and do there.
