I have 24hrs to decide to take a trip to St Thomas, Blue Beard Castle with RCI. Is this a place for singles, lots of nightlife??? Or is it more layed back. Help!! I have to deposit my week back in the bank @ 11:00 tonight.
I visited St Thomas and decided to move down here and have been here almost 2 years. But if you're looking for a crazy nightlife scene along the lines of Cancun/Acapulco it's not like that. Don't get me wrong, there's always a party going on somewhere, but it's a little more laid back, in my opinion. Great beaches, scuba/snorkeling, day trips, etc - and a good night life - but it's not NYC. Any more specific questions let us know.
Jasmine...
if nightlife is what you're after on a vacation... go elsewhere. Not to say there isn't anything going on at STT - just it's not vegas.
I was there for a week and spent most nights over in redhook - 4 bars all next to each other (duffy's love shack in the middle). Decent night life, but nothing to write home about (or travel to if partying is what you're after).
the resorts/hotels are littered with couples and married folks, so if you're looking for singles, you'll have to go out.
sounds like you want a vegas vacation or cabo/cancun. I enjoyed the week (friend was getting married) but doubt I'll return anytime soon.
Jasmine- OMG GO!! I just got back from St. Thomas on Sunday the 18th and stayed @ BlueBeard's Castle which i got through RCI. I am 21 and went with my boyfriend, we are not huge partiers but st.thomas is a great place to see the most beautiful beaches in the world and than at night go to cute bars where the locals hang out and get drunk! i have been to Cancun and that was pure partying but St.Thomas was 10 times better because the culture and the people tha live there make the stay amazing. Nothing beats drinking in the carribean and just getting away from it all where life goes at a much slower pace than for example cancun. i guarantee you will not be disapointed!! Oh and Bluebeards was a good hotel to stay at & there is a bar and 2 restaurants at the hotel. I am now depressed because i miss it so much and it hasn't even been a week since i was there! I know I already said this but you will not regret going, it was so great that I may move down there in a couple years!
Any recommendations on casual restaurants and bars close to Bluebeard's Castle?? We will be going in one week!! Sooo excited!
