STT Carnival 2008

Tentative dates, starts on April 24 and Parade on April 26, 2008. Call Carnival Committee (340) 776-3112 for any changes.

Hello,

For St. Thomas the dates that are planned so far are:

April 23rd, 2008
St. Thomas Carnival: Cultural Food & Crafts Fair
Emancipation Garden 8:00am
The Cultural food & crafts fair involves dozens of booths selling tasty Caribbean dishes, drinks and deserts. Crafts and souvenirs also on sale. Live music during some parts of the fair.

April 24th, 2008
St. Thomas Carnival: J'ouvert
Veteran's Drive 4:00am
Join the early morning party as St. Thomians dance through the streets behind their favorite bands.

April 25th, 2008
St. Thomas Carnival: Children's Carnival Parade
Main Street 10:00am
From toddlers to teens Virgin Islands kids twirl, perform and dance along Main Street for hours in troupes of colorfully costumed masqueraders. The parade route starts at Market Square and runs along Main Street to Lionel Roberts Stadium.

April 26th, 2008
St. Thomas Carnival: Adult's Carnival Parade
Main Street 10:00am
The parade takes place in Charlotte Amalie and includes thousands of people. Come see mocko jumbies, carnival royalty, listen to bands play while colorfully costumed troupes of children and adults dance along.

The other events like Calypso shows, pageants, boat show - they take place during the three weeks preceding the big events which are food fair, j'ouvert & parades.
