My family and I are traveling to St. Thomas this Saturaday-Thursday. The weather prediction looks like rain. Should we be "worried". Also, how busy does St. Thomas get when ships come in? We are hoping for a relaxing trip and not to have to fight crowds where ever we go. We are staying at the Frenchman's Reef/Marriot. Has anyone stayed there recently? What is there beach like? We have 2 boys-ages 10 and 8 who are looking forward to playing in the ocean.

Do not be too concerned about the weather. Rain is usually short and scattered.
30% chance of rain means 70% chance of sunshine

You will notice a difference in town and on some of the beaches (Coki & Magens) when cruise traffic hits but it will be during port hours of 8:30 to 4:30. Definition of 'crowd' is relative to what you are used to but there will be more people around during that time. Try to schedule certain trips around the cruise schedule (link posted top of this page) if you really want to avoid them.

Islander, how about a Sticky Post about the weather 🙂 I know it was the main piece of information I was looking for when I started using vinow.com... (just a suggestion...)

The link for weather is in the upper RH corner of each page. The concern seems to be around interpretation. It might help to add a comment on the weather page like "Do not be overly concerned with predctions of inclement weather as showers are normally scattered and short in duration".
