Hello,
I have been dreaming about going to the virgin islands for years. I found this website almost a year ago. I live on the west coast and the airfare is expensive. It also takes 3 planes and almost 11 hours to get there but the time has come. I can't stand just dreaming about it any longer and looking at all the beautiful pics that people post on this site. I plan on coming to St. Thomas in May for a week and was thinking about renting a car at the airport. I won't be getting in until around 9:00 PM. Will it be hard to find Secret Harbor Resort after dark?
Any info is appreciated.
Hello Dawn
You have come to the right place for USVI information, I discovered this site a few months ago and am reading everything. I too love the VI'S and can't wait to get there this summer. There are so many great contributors to this site, you will feel like an islander before you leave. The first time I went to STT I was over whelmed with driving on the left and trying to find someplace while watching the traffic at the same time. To drive from the airport for the first time in the dark might be somewhat intimidating, not sure I wouldn't take a cab and get a car later. I'm sure you will have a map, the roads are winding and some steep. Any way, you will get such good advice do what the locals recommend. You will love Secret Harbor, there is so much to do,I'm proud you are taking the big step. I guarantee you'll be back. After your trip you must report back and tell all,,,,wellllll maybe not all.
