Well the time is drawing near. Hard to believe it has been 6 months since I booked this trip.
My wife Michelle and I are due to arrive STT 8/19 @ 1955 :@)
Anyway a quick question. Looking for input on the coolest, most memorable thing to do on STT.
We are planning on spending 8/20 on the beach on STJ and I am sure we will be baked to a crisp the following day, so we were wondering what would be fun to do the following day on STT.
Your thoughts would be appreciated. (as my wife stands over my shoulder, she wants to know what are the "must sees".8-)

Thanks,
Bill

First, don't bake to a crisp otherwise the rest of your vacation will be mightily sorrowful! And I'm being serious. I love the beach and the water and the sun, I'm an old broad who's lived here for 25 years and whose skin is naturally showing its age but I never go out sunning for even a couple of hours without 30SPF on my face and 8-15 on my seasoned skin. Visitors should use at least 50SPF (or total block) on the face and 30SPF on the rest of the skin and with liberal applications every hour or so. A burn and peel isn't a good experience and even on a cloudy day those rays come through.

As far as "must-dos and sees" on St Thomas, there's no hard and fast rule as everyone has different tastes. What might appeal to me might not appeal to you and vice versa. If you read through the numerous posts on this forum you'll find so many different points of view of must-dos and see" but there's no magic formula. It's all subjective.

I think you will find, just in the natural environment and the different beaches and the dining opportunities, a plethora of experiences during your stay here which will have you saying once you're back home again, "Wow! So what WAS the best?"

There's so much here that so many casual visitors never see but we don't expect them to see everything. Unadvertised dining spots are numerous, unadvertised beaches likewise.

Sorry that I can't answer your question but I'm sure other posters will chime in with their personal list of the cool and memorable.

Welcome to the VI and I hope that your visit here will be filled with a bunch of memorable experiences which will warrant your coming back to savour more. Cheers!

If you are coming over to St. Thomas for the day and looking for non-beach activities you could do an island tour, on your own if you have a rental car or by taxi. If you planned to shop you could head downtown or to Havensight. You could do both in one day. Could also visit Paradise Point or Coral World or do the Atlantis Sub.

Enjoy!
