Well, that first week of July includes the 4th. Well, St. John will be one great party for your anniversary! There is a week long celebration culminating with a parade on the 4th and fireworks that evening. To celebrate in a quiet place, you better head out of town. Music for listening and dancing every night in the'village' that is set up in the parking lot in town. A real tourist friendly atmoshere exists there. Could be a twist on what you want to do.
Try Chateau Bordeaux or the new Voyages...de San Jan for the escape if you want to. The downtown restaurants will probably be congested with revelers. Car rental may be difficult too. Book soon!

Wonderful to here. We love great music and dancing. From your posting it seems like it might be a good idea to reserve a car? Should I get a weeks retal or just for a few days? We will be there for 7 days. Should I make reservations at any specific resturants before we arrive? What do you think about the resturant at Caneel Bay?
