My wife and I are returning to Sapphire Beach Resort in Jan 2012; this time we will rent a car. Trying to save money, I thought that rather than renting a Jeep on St. Thomas for the week just so we could take it to St. John for the day that we could go over on the passenger ferry and rent a Wrangler just for the day (after renting a Corolla for the week from Dependable). I checked with L&L and they only offer a 3 Day Minimum rental. Before I go down the list of 12 or so Jeep rental agencies found on StJohnUSVI.com I thought I would ask here first. Does anyone know of a reputable rental agency that will simply rent a Jeep for ONE day?

For a day trip to St John it's not necessary to have a Jeep or 4WD vehicle and thousands of visitors do it every year. Dependable won't have a problem with it. Finding a 1-day Jeep rental on St John in January will be next to impossible as it's the height of high season. The Corolla will be fine unless you're planning on taking rocky trails to remote spots. Enjoy!
That is good to know, because Discount specifically said NO about taking a Corolla over on the ferry.
