Hi all - taking cruise in august and have 1 day on STT. Looking for suggestions for a nice day at the beach, just casual beach bar for some rum drinks and food, nothing fancy. My wife and I love to snorkel, but not necessary, but we do want to swim in ocean. Like to attempt to avoid large cruise crowds (like us, ironically!). This is our first cruise (wife's uncle paid for it so we were NOT going to say no!). We usually travel to BVI's, in fact Jost Van Dyke is our favorite island, and Soggy Dollar, Ivan's and Seddy's our favorite beach bars - anything kind of like that on STT? Maybe Secret Harbor, or Emerald Beach? Iggy's looks really cool to hang, but how about the swimming? Coki and Magens I'm sure are beautiful, but I think there will be 4 ships in port when we're there (tuesday August 8), and I guess they will get VERY crowded. Sapphire looks cool, but is there a beach bar? Others? Maybe a tour by Godfrey? St. John would be awesome, but my wifes parents will tag along with us, and I don't want to worry about all the ferry and taxi connections etc. to get there and back to ship in time. The outlaws are really cool, but the dad will be nervous until he's sitting on beach with a painkiller or bushwacker (he loved Seddy's). We have no kids with us.

Thanks for any helpful suggestions, and I'm sure there are many fine options and that we'll have a great time no matter what.
Cheers

I think Secret Harbor is your best bet. There is good snorkeling and the restaurant/bar is open air along the beach. We had dinner there in April. It was very nice.

Great, thanks! Do you know if there are chairs for rent on the beach at Secret Harbor?

Yes they do. It would be your best bet or maybe closer to the docks is Morningstar. But I would say SH first.
