The Lawaetz Family House nestled in Estate Little La Grange northeast of Frederiksted, dates back over 100 years. It belonged to the Lawaetz Family and continues to be held by the family’s descendants. The house and its extensive gardens are a showcase of old island charm. It was originally a plantation estate, and was converted to a dairy farm in the late 1890’s. The house contains old furnishings, photographs and heirlooms providing a unique view of life in the Danish West Indies (today the U.S. Virgin Islands). Currently the house is closed except by special appointment and events.
