I remember reading that the Francis Bay trail is an excellent spot for bird watching. I haven't walked it, so I don't know for sure. Good luck!

I've tried 4WD and non-4WD vehicles on St. John. I think 4WD is a must - especially in rainy conditions. It's alot more fun too!
