the ferry ride from st thomas to st john is a smooth ride. depending on your arrival to stj you can either take the ferry from red hook or charlotte ...
not sure if the Scubadu still runs but I used the captain a few years ago, its just the captain and his assistant. you can create your own itinerary.

you can always just take the ferry over and spend the day on Jost Van Dyke. I've also taken a day trip with Scubadu, it was money well spent!

The dinghy's are great!! One of the best ways to see the beaches and very easy to do!
