The St. Croix Landmarks Society will host Starving Artists Day on Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 10 am – 4 pm. In addition to the regular line up described below, this year’s event will have an Antiques and Collectibles Mart as well. Admission to the event is $5.
About Starving Artists Day
The event attracts residents and visitors alike to see, taste, hear, touch, smell and otherwise enjoy aspects of Virgin Islands culture. Local artists, jewelers, and craftspeople showcase their wares accompanied by local musicians and food vendors, all in the historic setting of Estate Whim Museum’s grounds. The event is held twice a year, in March and November. It is one of the St. Croix Landmarks Society’s most anticipated events. Locally made and original crafts you can expect to find include: jewelry, fine art, ceramics, mahogany works, Mocko Jumbie sculptures, madras crafts, photography, fabrics, plants, books, leather goods, candles, perfume oils, and lotions.
Additionally food and drink booths will feature local dishes! You might find fresh roast pig (lechon), pates, johnny cakes, fritters and fried fish in addition to deserts and drinks like cakes, tarts, benye, breads, fraco, smoothies, liquors and juices. Cash bar is available all day.
