The St. Thomas-St. John Chamber of Commerce Announces Miracle on Main Street will be held on December 22, 2017 due to the outpouring of support pledged by the private sector after the announcement earlier this week that the event would be cancelled. Amid recovery, it seems we all require some cheer this year and our community has let us know, it is time to give thanks and celebrate for an evening.
This year the Chamber would like to commemorate the community spirit of Steven Bornn who passed recently. Steven was a supporter of Miracle on Main Street in the early years of the event and on occasion, Steven was called into action because he was needed to resolve a problem and he would just smile, make a joke and dig in. He will be missed.
This event is about coming together for an evening of shopping, entertainment, dining and visiting with friends. There will be entertainment all over the downtown and stores and restaurants will be open. Holding the event closer to Christmas, will give shoppers the opportunity to complete their list and enjoy a night on the town!

Please note, the boat parade will be held on December 15 rather than with Miracle on Main Street this year. So, residents and visitors will have two Friday nights to enjoy the holiday season. We apologize for the confusion created by our earlier cancellation of the event and appreciate the show of support by local businesses in making Miracle on Main Street a reality this year. Please plan to come out for a day that celebrates the true spirit of community and resilience that is St. Thomas.
Miracle will once again feature local foods, arts, crafts and beverages in Emancipation Garden throughout the day and evening. Entertainment confirmed as of pres time include: Spectrum Band, Dr. Bernard Liburd, Clinton Stapleton, Pan In Motion, Ulla Muller School, and Bertha Boschulte Junior High School.
